Character Creation

Abilities:  Every ability score starts out at 8. You get 30 points to divvy up amongst ability scores. Every score above 17 costs 3 points per point (so 18 would cost 12 points). This is before racial adjustments. You cannot buy a base stat above 18.

Level: 1: Medium XP Progression (see advantages/flaws)

HP: Average HP per level for PCs. Average HP for cohorts, eidolons, animal companions, etc. First level is still max HP.

Races: Any Core Races or Featured Races (see advantages)

Wealth: Standard per class.

Classes: Any Core Classes/Base/Alternate classes except Hybrid Classes or Occult Classes. Unchained classes are allowed. Prestige classes are fine (see advantages/flaws)

Traits: 2 traits. 1 drawback can be taken for an extra trait. The 3 traits (2 traits + 1 drawback) can be combined into 1 feat instead if you wish.

Skills: 2 background skills. Please note not all skills are eligible as background skills.

Flaws/Advantages: See flaws and advantages pages for additional character options which can help make a more advanced character. You are not required to take any flaws or advantages, but they really do help to min/max a character.

Background: You may (if you want) choose 1 background from the backgrounds section. Your backstory should incorporate this background.

Cohorts: Cohorts are built like PCs but the do not have advantages/flaws/backgrounds.

No 3rd party content (though we are using psionics, see advantages)

Replacement Characters: Use the same XP total as your current character. (Level will be based on your XP progression choices). Use GP based on the level the character is. Moving forward, characters will not gain XP for the mission that killed them if replaced (but will if resurrected).

-Setting-

The party is in Druma in the city of Gran. Here the various guilds and businesses have a strong presence and seek to expand their wealth and influence. The intention is to make this kind of a pathfinder version of shadowrun, with the PCs doing jobs for various guilds, though some out of town adventuring might happen.

While any alignment is allowed, the concept of taking on secret missions from guilds (sometimes against other guilds) might be at least non-lawful if not sometimes non-good (especially if you end up taking missions from thieves guild or assassins guild).

Psionics exist in the game (requires advantage for PC use). Also wild magic zones or dead magic zones could come up. Heavy radiation areas could impede magic also. Psionics and magic are highly similar.
